Ballot Boxes Will Be Set Up in 18 Provinces in Turkey for the Bulgarian Presidential Election

It has been announced that a total of 78 ballot boxes will be established across 18 provinces in Turkey for the presidential election in Bulgaria, and preparations have been completed.

In line with the presidential election to be held in Bulgaria on October 25, it has been decided to set up a total of 78 ballot boxes in 18 different provinces for voters living in Turkey, and preparation processes have been completed.

Election Preparations Completed

It is planned to set up a total of 78 ballot boxes in 18 provinces to enable kinsmen living in Turkey to cast their votes for the presidential election to be held in Bulgaria on October 25.

Ballot Box Distribution and Provinces

Within the scope of the elections, there will be 1 ballot box in Adana, 2 in Ankara, 1 in Antalya, 2 in Balıkesir, 1 in Bilecik, 13 in Bursa, and 1 in Çanakkale.

Additionally, ballot boxes will be established as follows: 1 in Edirne, 2 in Eskişehir, 18 in Istanbul, 14 in Izmir, 2 in Kırklareli, 2 in Kocaeli, 2 in Manisa, 1 in Mersin, 1 in Sakarya, 12 in Tekirdağ, and 2 in Yalova.

Removal of Restrictions

Although the number of ballot boxes was restricted in countries outside the European Union in past periods, restrictions on opening ballot boxes abroad were lifted with a legislative amendment.

Second Round Expectation

Considering the 50 percent plus one majority requirement and voter turnout rates in past elections, it is stated that there is a high probability that the elections will not end in the first round and will proceed to a second round.
