The 104th anniversary of Soma's liberation and the 20th Black Diamond Culture, Art, and Solidarity Festival were celebrated throughout the week with concerts and events.
Festival Enthusiasm and Closing
Events held at Soma Millet Park continued for a week with concerts, social, and cultural activities.
Artist İrem Derici, who took the stage at the festival finale, gave the residents of Soma an unforgettable closing night.
Participation of Artisans and Cooperatives
Non-governmental organizations, associations, women's cooperatives, and local artisans actively participated in the events in the festival area.
The Yırca Hanımeli group and the Soma Working Women's Cooperative took part in the events with local products they prepared.
No Burden on the Municipality Budget
Soma Mayor Sercan Okur announced that the festival budget was formed through event revenues.
Costs were covered by the revenue generated from commercial exhibition areas, placing no burden on the municipality budget.
Emphasis on Joint Work
Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu stated that they will continue to work together for Soma.
Sercan Okur said that they will work hand in hand with the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality to build Soma's roads.
