7th TÜRKSOY Senior Officials Meeting Held in Kayseri
High-level representatives from six countries gathered in Kayseri to discuss the 2027 Capital of the Turkic World process and planned joint projects.
Kayseri hosted delegations from six different countries within the framework of the 7th TÜRKSOY Senior Officials Meeting. During the four-day contacts, the city's historical and touristic riches were promoted, while preparations for 2027 were discussed.
Meeting and Opening Ceremony
Hosted by the Kayseri Governorship and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, the program began with the Opening Ceremony of the Turkic States Cooperation Day.
High-level representatives from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan participated in the event.
Protocol Visits and Evaluations
The delegation visited Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek in his office and exchanged mutual views on the works in the region.
TÜRKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf took part in the process, which was also attended by Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç.
2027 Targets and Planning
Within the scope of the four-day program, the steps to be taken for the 2027 Capital of the Turkic World events were discussed in detail.
TÜRKSOY officials stated that the planning for the upcoming period will be carried out in partnership with the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality.
Culture and Gastronomy Tours
In addition to the meetings, the high-level delegation found the opportunity to closely observe the city's values in the fields of art, culture, tourism, and gastronomy.
Within this scope, the Culinary Arts Center and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Nation's Garden were visited, and local facilities were examined.
City Visits and Exhibitions
The guest delegation members cut the opening ribbon of a special philography exhibition organized within the framework of cultural activities in the city.
In addition, the Tomb of Seyyid Burhaneddin Hazretleri and Erciyes Ski Resort were among the spots visited by the names participating in the program.
