Held for the ninth time, the International SOLO Contemporary Dance Festival is meeting art lovers on August 29-30 at the Ankara CerModern Open Air Stage with the participation of 21 dance artists from 13 countries.

Taking Place with International Participation

This year's festival program features dance artists from Turkey as well as Portugal, Italy, France, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Poland, Georgia, Greece, Spain, Hungary, Czechia, the United States, and China.

Festival Management Team

Zihni Tümer undertakes the directorship of the event, and Esma Meydan serves as the coordinator. The program consultancy is carried out by Deniz Alp, Özgür Adam, and Galip Emre.

From Individual Experience to the Universal

Starting out from the stories carried by a single body on stage, SOLO transforms the individual into a universal narrative and treats the body as a living field of expression.

Opening New Doors for the Audience

While each solo performance sets out from the artist's inner world, it opens the door to a different story for the audience and establishes a strong bond extending to the collective memory.

Comprehensive Art Experience

Alongside stage performances, the festival offers a comprehensive art experience spanning the entire day with artist talks, workshops, music selections, and social events.
