Applications for the 11th Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition Have Started
Applications for the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition, held for the eleventh time this year, have begun and the process will end on November 20, 2026.
The eleventh edition of the traditional Short Film Competition organized by the Sabancı Foundation has officially begun, and young filmmakers are invited to submit their works.
This Year's Theme of the Competition
The theme of the 11th Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition has been determined as 'Fast Consumption' this year. Impacts ranging from human relationships to psychology, and from the digital world to nature and the environment, are invited to be addressed through the original perspectives of young filmmakers.
Application Dates and Conditions
Applications for candidates wishing to participate in the competition will continue until November 20, 2026. Participating works must be a maximum of 5 minutes long and comply with the designated theme.
Jury and Evaluation Process
Following the preliminary jury evaluation, a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 finalist films will be selected for evaluation by the jury, and the prize-winning names will be determined.
Conditions of Participation
Candidates applying are required to have at least one director or producer who is a citizen of the Republic of Turkey or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Additionally, requirements include not having previously directed a feature-length film, and that the works have not been shown or awarded prizes before.
Award Amounts
Various cash prizes will be awarded to the participants who rank in the competition. The first place winner will be presented with 100 thousand TL, the second place with 75 thousand TL, the third place with 50 thousand TL, and 50 thousand TL will be awarded within the scope of the Social Impact Award.
