The Birth of an Art Tradition

The art event launched in Antalya's historic Kaleiçi district to keep the memory of painter Muhittin Selamet alive has evolved into an organization bringing together different disciplines over more than nine years. Starting in 2017 with a painting workshop on Kandiller Street, the event expanded in subsequent years with the inclusion of Hadrian's Gate (Üçkapılar) in the program.

Interdisciplinary Workshops

Academics and students from Akdeniz University Faculty of Fine Arts carried out works in painting, sculpture, linocut, photography, collage, and short film workshops. In the event, where visitors were also involved in the production process, students prepared short film scripts focusing on the historical texture of Kaleiçi.

The Memory of Muhittin Selamet
