Artists from Kobani performed at Aleppo and Hama festivals

Kurdish groups from Kobani made their first appearance at culture and art festivals held in the cities of Aleppo and Hama in August and September by the Ministry of Culture of the Syrian interim government.

First Participation in Festivals

The Ministry of Culture of the Syrian interim government organized various culture and art exhibitions and festivals in the cities of Aleppo and Hama during August and September. Kurdish culture and art groups took part in these events for the first time.

Music and folk dance groups participating from the city of Kobani through the Hilala Zêrîn Movement and the Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center were met with broad participation.

Emphasis on Cultural Diversity

Leyla Ehmed, a theater artist and member of the Baqî Xido Culture and Art Center, stated that culture and art centers in Kobani participated in the events in Aleppo following the integration process.

In her evaluation, Ehmed emphasized that Syria draws its primary strength from its diversity of cultures, languages, and beliefs, drawing attention to the importance of this unity.

Hama Spring Festival

Şêrîn Ararat, a singer and member of the Hilala Zêrîn Movement, stated that they participated in the Hama Spring Festival and that the Kurdish culture they exhibited received great interest.

Ararat expressed that they will continue to promote Kurdish culture and art throughout all of Syria through such organizations.
