Aydos Museum Opened to Visitors in Sultanbeyli
The new museum, aiming to preserve Istanbul's historical heritage, exhibits artifacts obtained from excavation works.
Opening its doors to visitors, the Aydos Museum was implemented by the Sultanbeyli Municipality, bringing to light the history of Aydos Castle, known as the gateway to the conquest of Istanbul.
Opening of the Museum and Service Details
Established by the Sultanbeyli Municipality and shedding light on the region's history, the Aydos Museum has officially started its services.
In the statement made by Mayor Ali Tombaş, it was stated that the museum will provide services completely free of charge to all visitors.
Exhibited Historical Artifacts
Under the roof of the Aydos Castle Promotion and Exhibition Hall, artifacts unearthed during the excavation and restoration works carried out in the region have been brought together.
The collection presented for visitors' inspection includes load-bearing columns, pedestals, profiled stones used at door and window edges, and arch fragments.
