Canakkale Culture Road Festival begins at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion

The Çanakkale leg of the Turkey Culture Road Festival, implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, officially started with a ceremony held at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar Building.

Opening Program and Protocol Participation

The Çanakkale leg of the Turkey Culture Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, began with an opening program held at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar Building.

Deputy Minister of Culture and and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, Çanakkale Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Toraman, and provincial protocol attended the opening ceremony.

Duration and Scope of the Festival

Transforming the city's historical sites and culture and art centers into event areas, the festival will last for nine days and continue until September 6th.

Within the scope of the events, Turkey's renowned artists will also give free concerts across the city to meet with music lovers.

Special Exhibitions Opened to Visitors

Right after the opening, the protocol members visited the Living Heritage Çanakkale Exhibition located in the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion.

At the Troy Museum, the Sacred Relics of the Ottoman Empire Exhibition was presented to visitors and received great interest.

Gastronomy and Local Flavors

In the field of gastronomy, 52 Flavor Points determined by the advisory board will introduce the region's rich cuisine to visitors.

Participants will have the opportunity to taste sardines, kashkeek, cheese halva, olive oil dishes, and local cheeses throughout the festival.
