Canakkale Culture Road Festival begins at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival will bring numerous concerts, exhibitions, and events to the city for nine days.
The Çanakkale leg of the Turkey Culture Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, opened its doors with a ceremony held at the Anadolu Hamidiye Bastion, kicking off an event marathon that will continue until September 6.
Opening Program
The Çanakkale leg of the festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, started with an opening program held at the Anadolu Hamidiye Bastion Hangar Building.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, Çanakkale Governor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Toraman, and Çanakkale Wars Gallipoli Historical Site President İsmail Kaşdemir attended the opening ceremony.
Duration of the Festival
Lasting for nine days, the festival will continue to welcome visitors at various points across the city until September 6.
Event Contents
Throughout the festival, concerts, exhibitions, talks, traditional art workshops, children's activities, and gastronomy meetings will be held.
Gastronomy and Flavor Points
The 52 flavor points determined by the advisory board offer visitors the opportunity to discover local tastes such as sardines, keşkek, cheese halva, and olive oil dishes.
Exhibitions and Art
The Living Heritage Çanakkale Exhibition, featuring traditional arts such as tile making, ceramics, wood carving, marbling, illumination, felt work, and traditional calligraphy, met with visitors.
First Day Talks and Concerts
As part of the first day's activities, a talk on Troy with the participation of Prof. Dr. Rüstem Aslan, along with tile and marbling workshops, was held, while Ceza met with his fans in an open-air concert.
