Cappadocia Promotion Draws Great Interest at Tourism Expo Japan
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that the presence of the Cappadocia region in the Far East market was strengthened at the Tourism Expo Japan 2026 fair.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that they have increased the promotion activities of Cappadocia within the scope of the Tourism Expo Japan 2026 fair and aim to include the region in the travel itineraries of Japanese guests.
Promotion in the Far East Market
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that they are working to include Cappadocia, which stands out with its fairy chimneys, underground cities, balloon tours, and rich culture, in the travel itineraries of more Japanese guests.
In line with the joint efforts carried out by the Turkey Tourism Promotion and Development Agency and the Cappadocia Site Presidency, the region is being introduced to international tourism professionals.
Meetings Held at the Fair
Promotion activities at the Cappadocia stand, which received intense interest, are supported by strategic meetings aimed at developing new collaborations with the Japanese tourism sector.
The delegation participating in the fair came together with the President of the Japan Association of Travel Agents and invited Japanese travel agencies and digital content creators to the region.
Participation of Delegation Members
Nevşehir Governor Hüseyin Kök and Nevşehir Member of Parliament Emre Çalışkan participated in the promotional activities carried out at the international tourism fair in Japan.
Additionally, Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, Cappadocia Site President Cem Aslanbay, and AK Party Nevşehir Provincial Chairman Muhammed Feyzi Akgün took part in the delegation.
