Cartoon Festival is organized online with rights-based workshops

Designed by the participants of the Amnesty Creative Fellows: Art for Rights Program organized by Amnesty International Turkey Human Rights Education Program, the Cartoon Festival will meet with audiences online on September 5-6.

Scope and Purpose of the Festival

Consisting of six creative and rights-based different workshops, this online event aims to create a space where boundaries and solidarity can be thought about together.

Within the scope of the program, various original topics such as care labor, the right to the city, the public state of the body, and climate justice are addressed.

First Day Events

On September 5, the first day of the festival, three different creative workshops will be presented to the participants.

Within this scope, sessions titled "To Be Visible: The Public State of the Body", "Who Builds the Future?", and "Beyond Invisible Strings" will be held.

Second Day Events

On September 6, the second day of the events, there are three new workshops where rights-based discussions will be deepened.

These sessions include "Our Rights and Boundaries in Business Life: Are We a Family (I Wonder?)", "Invisible Knots: Care Labor and Burden Sharing", and "The Placeless: Feeling Safe in the City".

Participation and Methods

At the festival, which will be held completely free of charge, participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences through drawings and various simulations.

Throughout the event, social issues such as the climate crisis, body politics, and the right to the city will be discussed in detail.
