Erivan Radio and Dengbêjs
Opening the doors of Erivan Radio, the book offers an opportunity to closely get to know the prominent dengbêjs of the era, including Şeroyê Biro, Efoyê Esed, Memoyê Silo, Mecîdê Silêman, Sûsika Simo, and Aslîka Qadir. The work sheds light on the history of that legendary radio to which millions of people listened.
Casimê Celîl's Role and the Importance of the Radio
Casimê Celîl shouldered a great responsibility from the very beginning in the establishment and development of the radio. As cultural demands increased, broadcasting hours were extended, and thanks to this, thousands of Kurdish cultural heritage items were saved from disappearing.
Preparation Process and Translation
The work was prepared through the translation of the author's articles published in Armenian newspapers by Ezîzê Cewo and Seyrana Celad, and by comparing the texts with the originals and simplifying them. Historical photographs were obtained through the Vienna Kurdish Institute.
Oral Literature and Future Expectations
The richness of Kurdish folklore and oral literature remains largely within the oral tradition. While the Celîl family has worked in this field for generations, it is hoped that this book will lay the groundwork for new research and fill the gaps in memory.
