Comedian Cem Yilmaz Suffers Heart Attack
Famous comedian Cem Yilmaz, who underwent an angioplasty at a hospital after suffering a heart attack while vacationing in Canakkale, continues to receive treatment in the intensive care unit.
Renowned comedian Cem Yilmaz, who was rushed to the hospital due to a heart attack while vacationing in the Ayvacik district of Canakkale, underwent an angioplasty. Following the successful procedure, it was announced that Yilmaz was admitted to the intensive care unit and his condition is stable.
The Illness During the Vacation
Famous comedian Cem Yilmaz, vacationing in the Assos region of Canakkale's Ayvacik district, fell ill with chest pain at his home in Pasakoy. Following the incident, he was swiftly rushed by ambulance to Ayvacik State Hospital.
After receiving initial treatment at Ayvacik State Hospital, he was transferred to Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital for further examination and treatment.
Successful Angioplasty Procedure
Upon being brought to Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital, Cem Yilmaz was taken in for an angioplasty performed by Prof. Dr. Ercan Aksit and his team. During this medical intervention, which lasted approximately forty minutes, access was gained through the wrist and balloons and stents were applied to the blocked vessels.
Prof. Dr. Ercan Aksit, who performed the procedure, stated that the patient was brought in with a major heart attack, but the initial intervention and angioplasty went quite successfully.
Health Status and Statements from Officials
COMU Rector Prof. Dr. Cuneyt Erenoglu stated in a press briefing in front of the hospital that Cem Yilmaz's overall health condition is quite good and that he was even making jokes.
Minister of Health Kemal Memisoglu also announced that the necessary medical interventions were successfully completed and that Yilmaz is being kept under observation in the coronary intensive care unit.
Future Treatment Plan
His doctor, Prof. Dr. Ercan Aksit, stated that the patient is being monitored in the intensive care unit to prevent any potential complications.
If his general condition continues to progress positively, it is planned to move him to a regular room after twenty-four hours are completed and discharge him within a few days.
