Contemporary Russian Painters Exhibition Opens Its Doors in the Capital
Prepared in cooperation with Russian House in Ankara and Cumhuriyet newspaper, the artworks met with audiences at the Cumhuriyet Culture Center.

Organized with the contributions of Russian House in Ankara and in cooperation with Cumhuriyet newspaper, the Contemporary Russian Painters Exhibition met with art lovers yesterday at the Cumhuriyet Culture Center Art Gallery. Numerous guests attended the opening.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksandr Sotnichenko, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation; author Işık Kansu; Sertaç Eş, Ankara Representative of Cumhuriyet newspaper; Bilgin Aygül, Chairman of ATIS Fairs; and İsa Küçük, Former Governor of Bartın.
Emphasis on Cooperation from Sotnichenko
Speaking at the opening, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksandr Sotnichenko, Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, stated that they have launched many seasons with Cumhuriyet newspaper, wished for this cooperation to continue, and drew attention to the warm atmosphere of the hall.
New Cultural Projects
Author Işık Kansu emphasized that Aleksandr Sotnichenko has carried out valuable work for the rapprochement of the two brotherly nations and announced the good news that a book of contemporary Russian stories will soon be published by Cumhuriyet Books.
