Culture and Tourism Minister Ersoy Announced Kütahya Investments
Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy shared the cultural investments made in Kütahya over the last 24 years and inaugurated the new museum.
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the amount of investments made in the city over the last 24 years during his visit to Kütahya as part of the Turkey's Century Meetings and inaugurated the new museum.
Investments Made in Kütahya
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited Kütahya within the framework of the Turkey's Century Meetings and provided important information about the works in the city.
Minister Ersoy announced that a total of 612 million liras in investments were transferred to the city's culture and tourism infrastructure over the past 24 years.
Inauguration of the New Museum
Taking a very important step in Kütahya's 90-year museology history, the doors of a new complex were opened.
Bringing together archaeology, city and ethnography, tile, mining, and children's museology under the same roof, the Kütahya Archaeology and Mining Museum has entered service.
Exhibited Artifact Capacity
A total of 62,701 artifacts will be preserved and continued to be protected in the newly opened museum building.
Out of this valuable collection, approximately 3,300 artifacts will be presented directly to the appreciation of visitors.
Accommodation and Bed Capacity
Touching upon the development of tourism facilities in the city, Minister Ersoy stated that the number of licensed accommodation facilities has recorded a significant increase compared to the past.
In this context, it was stated that the number of accommodation facilities rose from 3 to 75, and the bed capacity increased from 324 to 4,407.
Visits and Contacts
Continuing his Kütahya program, Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy came together with AK Party organization members and held various talks.
In line with his program, Ersoy also visited the Kütahya Governorship and the Gülsüm Güral Tile Museum, and met with local tile artisans in the region.
