Organized under the leadership of the Aegean Region Erzurum Associations Federation in İzmir's Çiğli district, the Erzurum Promotion Days present the city's rich cuisine and deep-rooted cultural heritage to visitors.

Purpose and Scope of the Event

A comprehensive organization is being held in Çiğli to introduce Erzurum's unique urban identity to broader audiences and to pass its cultural heritage on to future generations.

The event continues to welcome visitors on its fourth day, receiving great interest from the local public.

Intense Interest in Cağ Kebab

Stands showcasing numerous local products, prominently featuring Erzurum's iconic delicacies such as cağ kebab and kadayıf dolması, have been set up at the organization.

While cağ kebab ranks at the top of the most sought-after delicacies in the area visited by thousands of citizens, masters aim to sell approximately 5 tons, meaning 60,000 portions, throughout the festival.

Secrets of Flavor from the Masters

Cağ kebab master Fırat Küçük stated that this special delicacy is made from lamb meat, cooked over a wood fire without using the tough parts and tail fat.

Another master, Emre Dursun, stated that they sometimes struggle to keep up with the intense demand, while some citizens expressed that they tasted this unique flavor for the first time.

Cultural Program and Concert

Following the tastings and stand visits that continue throughout the day, the festival program will continue in the evening with a concert by famous singer Merve Özbey.

Statements by the Federation President

Zakir Salmanoğlu, General President of the Aegean Region Erzurum Associations Federation, stated that participation and intensity remain at a very good level despite it being a weekday.

Salmanoğlu conveyed that they expect the total visitor circulation to be between 300,000 and 500,000 people throughout the event, and that the price of cağ kebab has been set at 260 liras.
