Bringing coffee together with art and culture, Espressolab held its first Fashion Show event, which also utilized waste materials, at Türk Telekom Prime Espressolab Roastery on Saturday, August 22.

The Fashion World Met at the Roastery

Espressolab added a new initiative to its efforts combining the coffee experience with art and producer disciplines, welcoming fashion enthusiasts. The Fashion Show, held on Saturday, August 22, brought the collections of four different brands together on the same runway.

A total of 40 models took to the runway, with 10 models from each brand's collection. Open to the participation of fashion lovers, this organization stands out as a first in the brand's event calendar.

Waste Materials Brought to Life on the Runway

In addition to the collections of four different brands, pieces transformed from items such as straws, cups, and coffee sacks were also exhibited at the fashion show. These materials, which were reprocessed and incorporated into designs, drew attention to the fact that waste can be utilized through different production methods.

Uniting sustainability and fashion under one roof, the brand added a new creative space to its culture and art efforts. With this approach, it aims to diversify the ways in which waste is used.

Sustainability and Upcycling Projects

As part of projects aimed at the revaluation of waste, the brand had previously implemented an initiative that incorporated coffee grounds into production. In the project carried out in cooperation with the RET Association and Leap Natural since 2019, coffee grounds are turned into natural soap by female producers in Mardin.

The upcycling approach, which began with turning coffee grounds into soap, was brought to life in yet another medium with the Fashion Show event. With these steps, the company carried its vision of sustainability into the field of design as well.

An Enriching Event Calendar

Espressolab Roastery continues to enrich its program with monthly coffee workshops, yoga sessions, concerts, and culture and arts events. Aiming to offer its guests experiences beyond coffee, the brand continued its culture and arts program throughout August.

The company is also hosting the 'Intersection' contemporary art exhibition, which brings together the works of 18 artists, until September 1. The brand will continue to bring visitors together with new gatherings throughout the year.
