In the workshop led by tile artist Gül Camadan, participants were provided with detailed information on the use of traditional motifs and underglaze painting techniques.
Throughout the event, traditional patterns were applied onto round coasters and painted.
Secrets of the Hatai Motif
Explaining the stages of tile making in the workshop, Özgün Küçükkahraman Yazgan touched upon the features of the hatai motif and stated that it relies on the artist's imagination.
It was stated that the designs were drawn on sketch papers, punctured with a needle, and then transferred onto the tile using charcoal dust.
Increasing Interest in Art
Emphasizing that there has been a serious inclination toward tile art in recent times, officials noted that the efforts of municipalities and NGOs support this process.
It was stated that traditional methods continue to be successfully sustained today as an ancient art form.

It was reported that the tile workshop, opened with a limited quota, was completely filled as soon as it was announced and that there were participants waiting at the door.
It was announced that the completed coaster works will be delivered to their owners after the firing process.
