Details of the Program

The program, carried out by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts with the support of the European Union, in partnership with Culture Action Europe and with the affiliation of the Marmara Municipalities Union, has been announced.

Selected from among 147 applications from 43 different cities in Turkey, four projects resulting from partnerships between civil society organizations and municipalities have earned the right to receive grants.

Ayvalık and Diyarbakır Projects

In Ayvalık, through the cooperation of the Seyir Culture and Arts Association and the municipality, the Vural Cinema will be re-functionalized and put into operation in February 2027.

A historic house in Sur, Diyarbakır, will be transformed into a permanent interdisciplinary cultural venue where literature and memory-focused events will be organized.

Van and Bursa Projects

In Gürpınar, Van, the technical infrastructure of the municipal culture center will be improved to increase the participation of disadvantaged groups in cultural life.

In Osmangazi, Bursa, the historic Romangal Silk Factory will be transformed into a new culture center, and the city's sericulture memory will be recorded.

New Support Calls

The Ortaklaşa program plans to provide grant support totaling up to 1.9 million euros to civil society organizations during the 2026–2029 period.

The International Cultural Cooperation Project Call for Proposals will open on September 17, 2026, and the final call is projected to take place in the spring of 2027.
