International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival to Begin on September 2
At the Porsuk Festival in Eskişehir, featuring artists from over twenty countries, all events will be completely free of charge for five days.
The International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival, organized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality as part of the "2026 Eskişehir Year", is preparing to meet art enthusiasts from September 2 to 6, 2026.
Festival Dates and Purpose
The countdown has begun for the organization realized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality within the scope of the "2026 Eskişehir Year" and with ETİ as the main sponsor. This major gathering, which will start on September 2, the Liberation Day of the city, and end on September 6, will take place around the Porsuk River, the symbol of the city.
Participating Countries and Venues
Artists from more than twenty countries, ranging from the USA to China, Germany to South Korea, and the UK to Italy, will come together with the residents of Eskişehir throughout the festival. Open-air venues such as Kentpark, Sümerpark, Adalar Mevkii, Köprübaşı, and İskele26, as well as the Haldun Dormen Stage and the Art and Culture Center buildings, will be among the stops.
Opening and Closing Events
The opening of the festival on September 2 will feature land and river parades held at Adalar Mevkii and Köprübaşı, along with mapping shows and DJ performances. At the closing, the band mor ve ötesi will give a symphonic concert accompanied by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Conductor Orçun Orçunsel.
Music and Live Concerts
Throughout the festival, many groups and artists such as Pinhani, Selin Çıngır, and the Korean Gyeonggi Sinawi Orchestra will take the stage. In addition, special live music recitals will be presented to art lovers in Porsuk's iconic gondolas.
Theater and Open-Air Cinema
The International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival will not be limited to music alone, hosting plays by theater troupes such as Craft Tiyatro and Bahçe Galata. Within the scope of river cinema, various award-winning and popular films will meet audiences in the open air.
Talks and Workshops
Figures such as actor Tansu Biçer, director Vuslat Saraçoğlu, and journalist Güven İslamoğlu will participate in the talks within the scope of the festival. Sculpture and photography exhibitions, River Yoga events, and special design markets will also be established across the city.
