The closing exhibition of the international residency program held at Helikon Art Center, MOLT, opens its doors between September 19 and 27 with works by artists from different countries.
International Residency Program
The international residency program, curated by Marina Ogorodnikova, took place from September 5 to 20. The program brought together artists from Palestine, the UK, France, India, South Korea, Armenia, Turkey, Russia, Brazil, and Kosovo under the same roof.
Artist Roster
During the residency, artists such as Amy Flynn, Anna Alemasova, Anna Cherkashina, Côme Algadafe, Julia Ribeiro Moretti, So Savina, Orhan Özçalık, Aryna Kub, Khaila Juma, Shree Patel, Vjosa Maxhuni, Yoomin Lee, Zeynep Türkü Saraç, and Selin Anlagan produced works.
Starting Point of the Exhibition
The fundamental starting point of the residency was the question of an artist's practices and continuous transformation. The idea that form is not merely an aesthetic concept, but manifests itself in social roles and rules, shaped the background of the works.
Workshop Studies
For two weeks, the artists engaged in hands-on work with wood, stone, text, performance, and various materials, alongside theater workshops directed by Omer Akgullu.
