Islamic Arts Biennale to Open Its Doors in Jeddah in 2027
While the dates and venue details for the third Islamic Arts Biennale to be held in Saudi Arabia have been finalized, the lead curators who will head the event have also been announced.
It has been announced that the third edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale held in Saudi Arabia will begin on November 1, 2027, in Jeddah, and the chief curators of the organization have been shared with the public.
Date and Location of the Third Edition
According to the statement made by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, the third edition of the biennale will meet with its visitors on November 1, 2027, at the Western Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
Chief Curator Team
Four experts in their fields will lead the 2027 edition of the event, which focuses on Islamic art and culture through different curatorial narratives extending from the past to the present. In this context, Alserkal Arts Foundation Director Nada Raza, former head of Christie's Islamic Art Department William Robinson, Oxford University Professor Alain Fouad George, and former Ithra chief curator Idries Trevathan will serve.
