Jet Engine Design Competition Final Concluded in Diyarbakır

The final stage of the Jet Engine Design Competition, carried out under the leadership of TEI within the scope of TEKNOFEST, was successfully completed at the Diyarbakır Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Center.

Aim and Scope of the Competition

Organized within the aviation, space, and technology festival TEKNOFEST, the organization aims to increase the interest of university students and newly graduated engineers in aviation engines.

Through this competition, it is aimed to develop the technical capabilities of young engineers in this field and prepare them for the sector.

Technical Task and Design Process

Within the scope of the competition, participating teams designed a movable, axisymmetric, and convergent-divergent nozzle for a turbofan engine producing 6,000 lbf of thrust.

During this process, the teams were evaluated by the jury members with the Conceptual Design Report and Detailed Design Report they prepared.

Final Evaluation in Diyarbakır

Teams that successfully passed the report stages and reached the finals came together at the Diyarbakır Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Center.

The finalist teams detailed their prepared projects and designs through presentations made in front of the jury.

National Competency and Award Process

Conducted with the National Competency Move vision of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the event contributes to Turkey's qualified human resources.

Following the final presentations in Diyarbakır, the top three teams that rank will be announced at TEKNOFEST Şanlıurfa and receive their awards.
