Kahramanmaraş to Host Culture Route Festival for the First Time
As announced by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Kahramanmaraş is experiencing the excitement of the Culture Road Festival for the first time.
According to the announcement made by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Kahramanmaraş is opening its doors to the Türkiye Culture Road Festival for the first time. Events aimed at revitalizing the city's social and cultural life have been announced.
Festival Dates and Purpose
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that the festival was brought to Kahramanmaraş to introduce the city's rich literature, handicrafts, music, and culinary culture to wide audiences.
Stating that support is also being provided to the city's reconstruction through cultural and social life following the February 6 earthquakes, officials stated that the festival will be held between September 12 and 20.
Gastronomy and Flavor Points
Within the scope of the festival, the traditional flavors of Kahramanmaraş cuisine are offered to visitors at 52 different locations. The culinary program is hosted by Sinem Özler, who is featured in the Michelin guide.
Iconic flavors of the city such as Maraş tarhana, eli böğründe, sömelek köfte, sour ayasulu soup, and Maraş ice cream are introduced to wide audiences within this scope.
Concerts and Music Events
Famous artists meet their fans on the stages set up at the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Fair Center. Names such as Kıraç, Alişan, Sefo, and Murat Boz take the stage.
Additionally, seven separate special concert programs, including the 6th Corps Regional Band Command concert and the Neşet Ertaş Folk Songs recital, are presented to music lovers.
Exhibitions and Cultural Programs
While the Sacred Relics of the Ottomans exhibition welcomes visitors at the Kahramanmaraş Museum, the Living Heritage exhibition and short film screenings are organized at Kahramanmaraş Castle.
A clothing exhibition at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Cultural Center and various works ranging from literature to embroidery at the Taş Medrese are presented for art lovers to visit.
Children's and Photography Events
In the program prepared for children, the Elsa Children's Musical, Little Dragon Coco, Children's Village Events, and ASELSAN Children's Festival meet with little participants.
Photography enthusiasts, on the other hand, find the opportunity to participate in organizations held within the scope of FotoMaraton Kahramanmaraş and FotoMaraton Kids events.
