Born in Kayseri on March 15, 1936, Göksel Arsoy took his first step into cinema in his early 20s. He achieved fame with the 1959 production Samanyolu, in which he shared the lead role with Belgin Doruk.

In 1962, Arsoy won a Diploma of Honor at the Moscow Film Festival with the film Şehirdeki Yabancı, directed by Halit Refiğ. In the 1960s, he brought to life the Golden Boy series, described as the first Turkish James Bond.
