Muammer Karaca Theatre reopens with its renewed face
Having been closed since 2012, the historic Muammer Karaca Theatre has been restored through the efforts of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and is opening its doors with a theatre festival.
Closed since 2012, the Muammer Karaca Theatre is resuming operations as a modern cultural space while preserving its historical structure, as a result of restoration work carried out by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and welcoming art lovers with a theatre festival.
Historic Venue Reopens
Having remained closed to theatrical activities since 2012, the Muammer Karaca Theatre has been revitalized thanks to the efforts initiated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2019.
Rich Event Schedule
In the program running until the end of October, many theatre plays, talks, workshops, and acoustic concerts will be presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
Support for Independent Theatres
Remaining open to private theatres in its new era as well, the venue will contribute to the city's performing arts life by supporting the productions of independent theatres.
