Rich Event and Training Calendar Prepared for Children in İzmir in September
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has announced its September program, which includes children's centers, fair events, and assembly registrations to support children's development.
İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has shared with the public a comprehensive event and new term calendar to be implemented throughout September to support the academic, social, cultural, and artistic development of children.
New Term Date at Children's Centers
The 2026-2027 academic year fall term will begin on September 21 at the Cengizhan, Örnekköy, Uzundere, Limontepe, Gümüşpala, Gürçeşme, Buca, Yenişehir, and Kadifekale children's centers within İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.
Versatile educational and social programs will be implemented for children at the centers affiliated with the Women and Family Services Department, Child Studies Branch Directorate.
Education and Activities to be Provided at the Centers
In addition to Turkish, mathematics, English, tutoring, and speed reading, activities such as STEM, robotic coding, systems thinking, and intelligence-mind games will be organized at the children's centers. Furthermore, studies will be conducted in art branches such as painting, music, and theatre, as well as sports branches like basketball and football.
İzmir International Fair Children's Program
With the Hand Kite Workshop to be held on Municipality Street, children aged 3 and over will have the opportunity to engage in drawing, painting, and collage work. The Zeytin Stage Children's Event Area will host interactive shows between September 5 and 13.
Experience and Entertainment Areas in the Fairground
Hot Wheels, Dinoverse VR, Barbie, and Angry Birds experience areas will be established during the events, which will last for nine days. These areas, which families can also attend together, can be visited between 18:00 and 22:00.
İzmir Children's Council Registration Process
New term applications for the İzmir Children's Council, which enables children to have a say in city life, will be accepted between September 5 and 25. Children aged 9-14 will be able to call the 153 Citizen Communication Center for registration and application details.
