The 21st edition of Contemporary Istanbul opened its doors with an opening reception organized under the main sponsorship of Akbank and the cultural destination partnership of Tersane İstanbul.
Continuing to welcome visitors at Tersane İstanbul until September 27, 2026, this major gathering brought together leading names from the art world.
Gallery and Country Participation
This year, the event encompasses a total of 70 galleries from 16 different countries. Among them, 22 galleries are participating in the fair for the first time.
Within the scope of the Focus: Asia program, numerous galleries, artists, and diverse production practices from the Asian contemporary art scene have been brought to Istanbul.
Digital Installation Titled Seyir
Supported by Trendyol Sanat, multidisciplinary artist Balkan Karışman is exhibiting his digital installation titled “Seyir”, which was prepared specifically for the event.
Produced under the curation of GLOBART, this special work streams real-time live footage of the Golden Horn directly into the exhibition venue through advanced digital technologies.
