The 95th Izmir International Fair Opened Its Doors with the Nâzım Hikmet Exhibition
As part of the 95th International Fair opened in Izmir, a special exhibition focusing on the life and art of poet Nâzım Hikmet met visitors with a ceremony.
Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized for the 95th time this year, the Izmir International Fair opened its doors, while the Nâzım Hikmet exhibition prepared within the scope of the fair was presented to visitors with a ceremony.
Opening and Visiting Dates of the Fair
Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ, the 95th Izmir International Fair is held at Kültürpark between September 5 and 13.
While the fair started welcoming visitors with the slogan "The Fair is at the Heart of the City", the events bring vibrancy to the city's cultural and artistic life.
Opening of the Nâzım Hikmet Exhibition
The opening of the exhibition titled "ROMANTIKA / The Journey of a Lifetime", held within the scope of the fair, took place with a ceremony one day before the fair opened its doors.
During the opening ceremony, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay delivered a speech touching upon the importance of the exhibition.
Details and Design of the Exhibition
Architect M. Melih Güneş undertook the curation of the exhibition, which brings together Nâzım Hikmet's life and art with a comprehensive selection.
The branding and design of the exhibition were meticulously brought to life by Ömer Durmaz.
Spacious Exhibition Area and Works
Established in an area of approximately 2,125 square meters and across 15 halls including the foyer, the exhibition offers art lovers a vast area for exploration.
In the exhibition area, alongside the poet's personal belongings, a replica of his study room is also presented to the appreciation of visitors.
