The Goodness Culture and Art Center Opened in Beyoğlu, Istanbul
All revenues to be generated from the sale of works exhibited at the center will be delivered to those in need, primarily orphans and oppressed regions.
Established by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Goodness Culture and Art Center opened its doors in Beyoğlu with a ceremony attended by art lovers and foundation volunteers.
A New Cultural Venue in Beyoğlu
Established to encourage artistic production and ensure the continuity of traditional handicrafts, the Goodness Culture and Art Center has started operations on Boğazkesen Street in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district.
The opening organization, which saw high participation from artists, art lovers, and foundation volunteers, was held along with prayers.
Social Benefit and Art Vision
Speaking at the opening, IHH Board of Trustees Deputy Chairman Hüseyin Oruç emphasized that this newly established center will serve as a bridge connecting children and volunteers around the world through art.
Stating that the center will operate with a vision of creating social benefit, officials noted that artistic activities will also lay the groundwork for charitable efforts.
Artwork Sales Revenue Will Turn into Aid
IHH General Secretary Ahmet Göksun announced that the works to be exhibited in the gallery within the center will be offered for sale in exchange for donations, and the revenues obtained from here will be donated to oppressed regions.
IHH Vice President Muhammet Cihat Çelik and IHH Women's Branch President Nazmiye Göltaşı also touched upon the working areas of the center, stating that all revenues obtained will be transferred particularly to orphans.
