Theater, Concerts, Exhibitions, and Film Screenings Begin in Istanbul
Theater plays, various concerts, comprehensive exhibitions, and open-air film screenings await art lovers across Istanbul throughout the week.
Many different events in the fields of theater, concerts, exhibitions, and cinema will be presented to art lovers in Istanbul this week. Important productions will meet audiences on various stages across the city.
This Week's Theater Plays
The play Of Mice and Men, adapted from John Steinbeck's work, will meet audiences at Bakırköy Boutique Stage on September 5 and 7. Sema Çoruh will perform the one-person play Çalıkuşu at Taksim İstiklal Stage on September 2. Directed by Metin Zakoğlu, Ağzı Çiçekli Adam will be staged at Cafe Theatre Koşuyolu tomorrow, as well as on September 5 and 6.
Music and Concert Programs
Instrumental jazz band KAOS will give a concert at the AKM Multi-Purpose Hall on September 2. While Yıldız Tilbe will meet her fans at Ataköy Marina Open Air Stage on the same day, the Fazıl Say Jazz Quintet will take the stage at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater. Istanbul West Side Collective will be at Zorlu PSM Vestel Amfi on September 4. The bands Leviers and Gece will host music lovers in different halls on September 5, and Ayna will perform its songs at the Jolly Joker Atakent Tema stage.
Exhibitions to Visit
The exhibition titled Contact, focusing on the architectural heritage of Karaköy Palas, can be visited until October 1. Yoko Ono's selection Inner Voice and Inner Structure will be exhibited at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum until December 27. In addition, the museum's painting collection along with the exhibitions Doodles and Exercises will meet enthusiasts, while the exhibition Tracing Turkish Painting at the Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum can be visited free of charge throughout September.
Open-Air Cinema Screenings
The film The Great Gatsby will be projected at the AKM Open-Air Cinema on September 4. Christopher Nolan's film Inception will be presented to the audience at the same hall on September 5. Sense and Sensibility, adapted from Jane Austen's work, will meet cinema lovers at Zorlu PSM Vestel Amfi on September 6.
