Turkish Culture and Arts Promoted at Symposium in Hungary

Traditional values and art were promoted internationally within the scope of the 12th International Symposium on Promoting Turkish Culture and Arts, held in Hungary with the academic support of Akdeniz University.

Location and Scope of the Symposium

Turkish culture and arts were promoted in Hungary with the academic support of Akdeniz University's Faculty of Fine Arts and the Directorate of Culture, Art and Research Application and Research Center.

Held with the participation of many researchers and academicians in the town of Bugac, Hungary, the 12th International Symposium on Promoting Turkish Culture and Arts took place within the framework of the Hun-Turk kurultai, which is held biennially.

Academic Participation and Presented Papers

Lecturer Emel Mülayim from the Department of Ceramics at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Antalya delivered an important academic presentation at the symposium.

Mülayim represented our country on the basis of Turkish culture by presenting a paper titled "The Reflection of Ceramic Art in the Context of Cups from Past to Present in Turkish Coffee Culture."

Traditional Art Practices and Interest

The representative academic introduced an important decoration technique found in traditional Turkish ceramic art to the participants through a workshop she conducted.

It was recalled at the international symposium that traces of the Ottoman Empire can be seen in many parts of European countries, and the presented works drew great interest.
