Young People Connect at Events Through the 'Koltuk Senin' Initiative
An initiative aimed at providing young people in Istanbul with free access to cultural and artistic activities has reached tens of thousands of youth.
The 'Koltuk Senin' initiative, carried out by İBB Kültür AŞ since 2021, continues to provide youth aged 24 and under with free participation in cultural and arts events.
Scope and Objective of the Initiative
Implemented by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Kültür AŞ, the project supports youth in establishing a closer bond with arts and culture. Offering free viewing opportunities to Istanbul residents aged 24 and under, the initiative ensures that vacant seats are put to good use.
Within the scope of the project, realized in cooperation with the culture and arts sector, a total of 58,751 young people have participated free of charge in 1,120 events across 20 venues to date.
Youth Participation at Harbiye Open Air
Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Theatre, one of Istanbul's iconic culture and arts venues, has been one of the key gathering points for youth under the Koltuk Senin initiative during the 2026 season.
Throughout the season at the Harbiye stage, young people had the opportunity to watch concerts and events for free and experience the open-air atmosphere.
Digital Queue and Application Process
Istanbul residents aged 24 and under can participate in the process through a digital queue they create via the Radar Türkiye application.
Seats remaining vacant on the day of the event are determined through the system and offered free of charge to young people according to their queue number.
Events Held Across Different Stages
In addition to Harbiye, young people have also attended events at various other stages across Istanbul thanks to the initiative.
Notable events included Teoman's concert at Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium, the PANTERA concert at Ataköy Marina Arena, and the Istanbul Festival at Festival Park Yenikapı.
Season Data and Future Goals
Enabling 8,009 young people to attend culture and arts events for free this season, Koltuk Senin supports the participation of youth in life in Istanbul.
