Baseless conspiracy theories emerged on social media claiming that Brazilian football player Vinicius Junior, who plays for Real Madrid, was mysteriously kidnapped and replaced by a lookalike.

Allegations spread on social media

Vinicius Junior, the teammate of Real Madrid player Arda Güler, has become the target of unusual conspiracy theories rapidly spreading on Brazilian social media.

In baseless claims circulated on TikTok accounts and internet forums, it was alleged that the football player mysteriously disappeared and was replaced by a lookalike to maintain advertising deals.

Tattoos and aesthetic claims

Some social media users defending the conspiracy theory claimed, based on footage from Brazil's match against Australia, that the tattoos on the football player's thigh were missing.

Additionally, it was noted that potential aesthetic changes on the player's face were shown as a basis for these theories, but there is no concrete evidence to confirm the claims.

Similar theories from the distant past

Some users on social media associated these rumors with previous claims made during the World Cup, which suggested that football players would be kidnapped by aliens.

An old video by Vo Bahiana published in the past, claiming that Vinicius and Neymar would be kidnapped by aliens, was brought back to the agenda along with these posts.

Approach of the club and his circle

There is no official evidence or information supporting or confirming these baseless claims circulating on the internet about Vinicius Junior.

It was stated that the football player's close circle and his club, Real Madrid, completely ignored these entirely baseless conspiracy theories raised on social media.
