According to the official statement made by the Directorate of Communications, the signed document responds to the changing dynamics of Euro-Atlantic security. It clearly reflects the two countries' determination to strengthen and institutionalize their cooperation.
New Areas of Cooperation and Consultation
The newly signed partnership text provides mechanisms across a broad spectrum such as deterrence, the defense industry, technology, cybersecurity, and space. Through this, it aims to deepen mutual consultations.
Counter-Terrorism and Resilience
Within the framework of the document, joint efforts will also be conducted under the headings of hybrid threats, counter-terrorism, resilience, and civil preparedness. The new mechanisms aim to increase the capacity of both countries.
