$100 Million New Resource for Green Finance from DenizBank
The bank provided funds for projects by increasing its green bond issuance volume with the participation of international development and investment institutions.
DenizBank announced that it has increased the volume of its green bond issuance to $470 million with the participation of international development and investment banks; the newly secured $100 million resource will be used to finance green investments.
Volume Increase in Green Bond Issuance
DenizBank has reached a total green bond issuance volume of $470 million, carried out with the participation of 5 different international development and investment banks.
Contribution to Sustainable Finance
DenizBank General Manager Recep Baştuğ stated that they have steadily increased their contribution to Turkey's sustainable finance ecosystem thanks to strong collaborations established with international institutions.
Distribution of Investment Areas
It was stated that the provided $100 million resource will be utilized in financing high environmental impact investments such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, emission reduction, and sustainable transportation.
Year-End Targets and Portfolio
Recep Baştuğ emphasized that, together with the transactions carried out over the last three years, they aim to bring over $3 billion of sustainable finance from abroad into their portfolio by the end of the year.
