The 2026 National Innovation Day was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in Hanoi on the morning of October 4 under the theme "Innovation - The Driving Force for the Development of the Entire Society."
Within the framework of the program, gratitude was expressed on behalf of the Government to all segments of society contributing to the development of the country's science, technology, and innovation.
Politburo Resolution and Economic Impact
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung drew attention to the strategic importance of the Politburo's Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW in his speech.
It was emphasized that innovation is not limited to a specific field, but rather a fundamental driving force that must be strongly mobilized across the entire economy and society.
Global Innovation Index Developments
It was stated that according to the 2026 Global Innovation Index data, Vietnam has made significant progress in innovation capacity.
It was announced that more than 4,000 businesses and organizations actively participate within the current innovation ecosystem.
Future Goals and Tasks
In accordance with the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam, it was recalled that every ministry, sector, and local government must become an innovation center in its own field.
Important tasks were underlined regarding the clear definition of responsibilities, the promotion of technological innovation in businesses, and the development of human resources.
