Agricultural PPI decreased monthly and increased annually in August

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the agricultural products producer price index recorded a decline in August compared to the previous month.

According to the August data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, Agricultural PPI decreased by 0.93% compared to the previous month, while it showed an annual increase of 21.91%.

Data Announced by TURKSTAT

The Turkish Statistical Institute shared the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index data for August with the public.

According to the announced figures, the index experienced a 0.93% decrease in August compared to the previous month.

Annual and Periodical Change Rates

When the index data is examined on an annual basis, it was seen that there was an increase of 21.91% compared to the same month of the previous year.

Additionally, an increase of 9.2% was recorded compared to December of the previous year and 33.47% according to 12-month averages.

Sectoral Monthly Changes

When the changes experienced in sectors compared to the previous month were examined, there was a 0.86% decrease in agriculture and hunting products.

A decrease of 1.74% occurred in fishing and aquaculture products, and 1.77% in forestry products.

Status of Crop Products and Groups

Looking at the monthly changes of main groups, a 6.23% decrease was observed in annual crop products.

An increase of 3.22% occurred in perennial crop products and 2% in live animals and animal products.

Prominent Groups in Annual and Monthly Increases

The sub-group with the highest annual change was vegetables and melons, roots and tubers with a 69.99% increase.

The sub-group with the highest monthly change was recorded as tropical and subtropical fruits with a 153.75% increase.
