AI integration for SMEs in Turkey and new support plan
Within the scope of the new action plan prepared under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, special supports and investments are being put into effect to accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
A new action plan prepared to empower small and medium-sized enterprises in Turkey with artificial intelligence technologies has been announced. Within the framework of the plan, it is targeted to allocate one thousand artificial intelligence vouchers in the first 12 months and to implement billions of dollars in investments by 2030.
New Technology Steps for SMEs
For small and medium-sized enterprises, technology investments are no longer just a choice, but are becoming one of the fundamental elements of efficiency, cost control, and competitiveness.
Especially artificial intelligence solutions allow businesses with limited human resources to accelerate their operations and provide faster service to their customers.
Artificial Intelligence Growth Zones Being Established
Turkey is preparing to establish special growth zones and factories in order to further expand the investment, production, and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the field of artificial intelligence.
It is planned to introduce a two-stage funding mechanism ranging from basic research to the scaling of companies.
Action Plan and Support Vouchers
Within the scope of the 2026-2030 Turkey Artificial Intelligence Action Plan, special investment plans are being implemented under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
In order to support SMEs and entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into products, at least one thousand artificial intelligence vouchers will be allocated within the first 12 months.
Pilot Applications and Targets
It is targeted that at least half of the supported projects will be moved to field pilot applications, and at least one-third of these will be transformed into permanent products or services.
It is aimed to achieve an average efficiency or quality increase of at least 10 percent in pilot applications.
Billion-Dollar Investment Targets
It is planned to mobilize at least 10 billion dollars of private sector-weighted investment in the field of artificial intelligence and data centers by 2030.
Calls within the scope of the HIT-30 High Technology Investment Program will form the incentive backbone of these investments.
Transformation Process of Businesses
Taking the first step in the digital transformation processes of SMEs, which make up the vast majority of businesses in Turkey, will be facilitated by these vouchers.
The testing of artificial intelligence applications in areas such as production, sales, customer service, and logistics will be ensured.
