Apple Introduces New iPhone Models at Cupertino Event
At the first launch under Apple's new CEO John Ternus, the brand's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, and the iPhone 18 Pro series were unveiled.
Apple introduced its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, Apple Watch Series 12, Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 models at an event held at its Cupertino headquarters. At the event, which marked the first major launch for new CEO John Ternus, the technical specifications and pricing for Turkey were also announced.
The Foldable Screen Era with iPhone Duo
Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, draws attention with its book-like opening design. When closed, the device is the size of a classical iPhone, while opening up to offer a screen close to tablet size.
The model comes with a 7.8-inch LTPO OLED inner screen and an outer screen of approximately 5.4 inches, utilizing a special hinge system and ultra-thin glass technology in the folding mechanism.
iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Models
The iPhone 18 Pro series highlights the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. The iPhone 18 Pro offers a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 3,000 nits of brightness.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch OLED screen and a variable-aperture periscope telephoto camera tailored for professional photography.
A20 Pro Chip and Technical Performance
The new A20 Pro processor represents a significant step in performance and energy efficiency through its 2-nanometer manufacturing technology. The processor is stated to provide up to a 25 percent performance increase on both the CPU and GPU sides.
The devices also include the new Apple C2 modem, Wi-Fi 7, and satellite communication support, while an enhanced Neural Engine boosts performance in artificial intelligence tasks.
Apple Watch and AirPods 5 Innovations
At the event, Apple also unveiled its health and sports-focused next-generation smartwatches, the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. The new watches offer improved sensors and longer battery life.
The new AirPods 5 model has been equipped with health sensors aimed at adaptive active noise cancellation, heart rhythm monitoring, and in-ear temperature measurement.
Child Safety System with iOS 27
Apple announced new features with iOS 27 aimed at enhancing children's safety in digital environments. Inappropriate images in messages are automatically blurred.
Parents are provided with the ability to manage their children's device usage in greater detail via Family Sharing, with the goal of protecting privacy through artificial intelligence support.
Turkey Prices Announced
In Turkey, the 256 GB model of the iPhone Duo will go on sale for 229,999 liras, the 512 GB model for 246,999 liras, the 1 TB model for 280,999 liras, and the 2 TB model for 335,999 liras.
The iPhone 18 Pro, featuring a 6.3-inch screen, will start at 137,999 liras, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available starting from 149,999 liras.
