The Banking Academy held a scientific seminar aimed at increasing the academic reputation and recognition of the JELB and JEBS journals.

Purpose of the Seminar

The Banking Academy held a scientific seminar on the morning of October 5, 2026, in Room 310A of the Main Building, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President of the Academy. The meeting addressed the positions of the Journal of Economics, Law and Banking and the Journal of Economic and Banking Studies.

Participants and Speakers

Journal staff, editors, authors, scientists, and reviewers took part in the event. Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Hoi, Editor-in-Chief of the National Economics University Publishing House, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Thanh from the University of Wollongong participated as keynote speakers.

Opening and Strategic Approach

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong drew attention to the importance of raising the status of scientific journals in research and academic development activities. He stated that the positions of the JELB and JEBS journals in the domestic and international scientific communities need to be strengthened.

Presentations and Current Status Report

Dr. Bui Thi Thuy, Editor-in-Chief of JELB, emphasized turning quality into reputation, while Deputy Editor-in-Chief Dr. Dao Nam Giang presented a comprehensive report covering the current status, shortcomings, and priorities regarding the positions of the two publications.

Expert Recommendations and Closing

Prof. Dr. Le Quoc Hoi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Quang Thanh presented strategies on topics such as citations, indexing capabilities, digital presence, and special issues. The seminar concluded with the closing remarks of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong.
