Products with the highest price increases and decreases in September announced
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, higher education was the item with the highest price increase in September, while citrus fruits were recorded as the product with the greatest price drop.
According to consumer price data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the product with the highest price increase in September was higher education with a rate of 25.79 percent, while the product with the largest decrease was citrus fruits with a 24.41 percent drop.
Products with the Highest Price Increases in September
On a consumer price basis, the highest price increase in September was seen in higher education with 25.79 percent. This item was followed by dates, figs, and tropical fruits with 23.31 percent, and accommodation services with 19.99 percent.
Other Price Increases
Among the other products with the highest price increases in September were school buses with 16.04 percent, diesel fuel with 12.93 percent, and margarine with 12.23 percent.
Products with the Greatest Price Decreases
Last month, the highest price decrease occurred in the fresh citrus category with 24.41 percent. This product was followed by other fresh or chilled vegetables with a 17.62 percent drop.
Transportation and Other Decreases
In September, international passenger transport by air became cheaper by 12.96 percent, while the decrease in domestic passenger transport by air was recorded at 6.8 percent.
