BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul declined in the first half of the day
Amid current market developments, the BIST 100 index continued its downward trend.
During the first half of the day on Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index showed a downward trend, losing 1.92 percent in value compared to the previous close and declining to 13,028.71 points.
Index Performance in the First Half
Moving in a downward direction during the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index decreased by 255.71 points as of 13:00 compared to the previous close.
During this period, the total trading volume reached the level of 79.9 billion liras.
Sectoral Developments
Examining the sector indices, the banking index gained 0.01 percent, while the holding index lost 4.21 percent in value.
The sector that suffered the greatest loss in the first half of the day was financial leasing and factoring with 9.55 percent.
Market Expectations and Levels
Analysts stated that the data agenda abroad will remain calm for the rest of the day.
From a technical perspective, it was noted that 12,900 and 12,800 points are support levels, while 13,100 and 13,200 points act as resistance positions for the BIST 100 index.
