Capital Markets Board decides to liquidate funds of seven companies
Taking new steps in line with developments in the markets, the CMB has decided to liquidate a total of 130 investment funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies.
Following developments in Borsa İstanbul markets, the Capital Markets Board implemented measures and ruled for the liquidation of a total of 130 investment funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies.
New CMB Measures in Markets
Following developments in the Borsa İstanbul AS markets, the Capital Markets Board implemented new measures concerning investors. It was announced that the decisions were applied within the framework of the relevant provisions of the Capital Markets Law No. 6362.
Equity Flexibility in Margin Trading
In the statement made by the Board, it was stated that the equity ratio in margin trading can be reduced down to 20 percent. Temporary flexibility was introduced to the protection ratio, which is applied as a minimum of 35 percent in leveraged capital market instrument transactions.
Validity Period of the Practice
It was announced that the introduced temporary flexibility practice will remain valid until the end of the session on October 2, 2026, without the need for a second announcement. During this period, transactions will be carried out according to market conditions.
Suspension of Investment Funds from Trading
All investment funds founded by seven different companies whose participation shares are traded on the Turkey Electronic Fund Trading Platform were closed to both buy and sell transactions on the platform.
Initiation of the Liquidation Process
In line with the official board decision taken, it was decided that all these designated investment funds shall be liquidated through a special method to be appointed by the Capital Markets Board.
Affected Companies and Number of Funds
It became clear that 130 investment funds within a total of seven portfolio management companies will be liquidated within this scope. The details of the process are being monitored by the relevant institutions.
Portfolio Companies Within the Scope
It was officially reported that Tera, Pusula, Hedef, Atlas, A1, Pardus, and Bulls Portföy Yönetimi AŞ are among the institutions for which the liquidation decision was taken.
