Central Bank Increased FAST Transaction Limit and Payment Amounts
New upper limits have been updated for account-to-account transfers and QR code payments in the instant money transfer system, FAST.
The Central Bank has increased the limits of the instant money transfer system FAST; the new upper limit has been raised to 300 thousand liras for account-to-account transfers, the Payment Request application, and payments made with QR codes.
New Limits in the FAST System
New limits have officially come into effect for FAST, the Funds' Instant and Continuous Transfer system implemented by the Central Bank in 2021.
Transaction amounts were re-determined in line with the intense interest shown in the system, which enables fast money transfers every day of the week and at any hour of the day.
Money Transfer and Payment Request Amount
Within the scope of the new regulation effective as of August 26, 2026, the limits on account-to-account money transfers and Payment Request applications were increased.
With the update, the upper limit applied for these transactions was raised from 100 thousand liras to 300 thousand liras.
QR Code Shopping Payments
A new upper limit application has also been introduced for payments made using FAST-TR QR Codes at workplaces.
The QR code payment limit, which was previously 250 thousand liras, was raised to 300 thousand liras with the new regulation.
