The Central Bank has shared the decline rates in its gross and net foreign exchange reserves for the last week of August with the public.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has announced the gross and net reserve data for the week ending August 28. According to the official statement, a limited decrease was recorded in both gross and net reserves during the respective week.

Decline in Gross Reserves

According to weekly data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, gross reserves decreased by approximately 250 million dollars in the week of August 28. Following this decrease, the total amount of gross reserves fell to the level of 188.2 billion dollars.

Net Reserve Data

The status of net reserves also became clear in the statistics announced for the same period. Accordingly, net reserves experienced a drop of approximately 300 million dollars and were recorded at the level of 66.6 billion dollars.

Net Reserves Excluding Swaps Remained Stable

According to the information included in the Central Bank's dataset, no change was observed in the net reserves excluding swaps item. In the respective week, net reserves excluding swaps remained stable at the level of 55.9 billion dollars.
