Decline Recorded in Annual Food Inflation
While consumer inflation stood at 1.84 percent in August, annual inflation fell to 31.51 percent. In core goods, annual inflation dropped to 15.89 percent. With the decline in fresh fruit and vegetable prices, the food item showed a decrease on an annual basis.
Policies Implemented Against External Shocks
Sharp movements in energy and commodity prices, along with geopolitical developments, continue to affect the global inflation outlook. Policies that will limit the pass-through of external shocks to domestic prices are prioritized with inter-institutional coordination.
Social Housing and Urban Transformation Works
Supply capacity is being increased in areas affecting citizens' daily living costs. While social housing projects targeting low- and middle-income groups continue, urban transformation practices aiming to expand the safe housing stock are supported.
