This new facility will play a strategic role in the company's growth targets and create more than 900 new job opportunities in the region.
Keurig Dr Pepper Partnership
In line with the expanded partnership with Keurig Dr Pepper, Chobani will take over KDP's existing manufacturing facility, warehousing areas, equipment, and infrastructure in Allentown.
The agreement covers the transfer of facility operations, the repurchase of KDP's shares in Chobani, and an expanded distribution partnership.
Next-Generation Products
Building on its 20 years of dairy expertise and fresh milk sourced from farms at its Allentown facility, Chobani will develop a new milk offering higher in protein and lower in sugar compared to traditional milk.
These newly developed products will be offered in multi-serve packaging for families and will form the foundation of a next-generation dairy category, such as high-protein beverages made with real ingredients.
Hamdi Ulukaya's Remarks
Making statements regarding the investment, Chobani Founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya noted that when he first visited the factory, he immediately recognized the immense potential within the facility.
Ulukaya stated that the facility has a great infrastructure and presents opportunities to build an extraordinary future with an incredibly talented team that excels at producing quality food.
