CMB announces the number of investors in 131 liquidated funds
Following conflicting information regarding the number of investors in the funds, the Capital Markets Board announced the number of unique investors across a total of 131 funds based on CRA records.
The Capital Markets Board shared official data following the emergence of varying information regarding the number of investors in recently liquidated funds. The Board announced that the number of unique investors in 131 funds belonging to 7 portfolio management companies totals 455,758 people, according to Central Registry Agency records.
Number of Investors in Liquidated Funds
The Capital Markets Board made an official announcement to clarify the total number of investors in funds decided for liquidation.
In line with the decisions of the Board's Decision-Making Body dated September 17, 2026, it was reported that 131 funds belonging to 7 portfolio management companies were decided to be liquidated.
Official Records and CRA Data
According to Central Registry Agency records, it officially became clear that there are a total of 455,758 unique investors in the funds within the scope of liquidation.
Authorities strongly emphasized that investors should take into account only statements made by official institutions during this process instead of manipulative information.
Banks to Conduct the Liquidation Process
As a result of the decisions taken, it was shared with the public that the liquidation process will be carried out jointly by İş Bankası and Ziraat Bankası.
Throughout the process, both banks will closely monitor market conditions and coordinate the necessary transactions.
Completion Schedule of Transactions
Within the scope of the liquidation process, the initial phase aims to clarify funds, check attachments and blocks, and extract assets and liabilities.
These preparation and determination procedures are expected to be completed within 10 business days at the latest.
Asset Sales and Distribution Principles
The banks will not dispose of the assets all at once; they will make sales over time by considering market conditions and investor interests.
The cash amount obtained will be distributed to investors in proportion to the shares they own.
Inclusion of Sell Orders
It was stated that all sell orders placed by investors after 1:30 PM on September 17 will be directly included in the liquidation process.
