Countdown Begins for the International Istanbul Tourism Fair
The International Istanbul Tourism Fair, to be held in Yenikapı, is preparing to bring together participating companies from 29 countries and international buyers.
During the press conference held ahead of the International Istanbul Tourism Fair (ITF), which will take place in Yenikapı for the fourth time, the organization's goals and participant details were shared with the public.
Fair Details and Objectives
Opening its doors for the fourth time in Yenikapı on September 24-25, the International Istanbul Tourism Fair aims to become one of the world's top three tourism fairs within 5 years.
Volkan Ataman, Dream Project Board Member and CEO, stated that booth sales were completed two months before the fair, drawing attention to the growth rates.
Participant and Visitor Expectations
The fair will take place on a 10,000-square-meter area and will host over 345 participating companies from 29 countries, along with 300 international buyers from 39 countries.
The organization expects to welcome over 17,000 professional visitors and conduct more than 8,000 B2B meetings.
Aiming to Spread Tourism Across 12 Months
Stating that survey studies show Turkey has growth potential beyond traditional markets, Volkan Ataman emphasized that their goal is to spread tourism across 12 months.
Sectoral Costs and Evaluations
TÜROB President Müberra Eresin drew attention to cost increases in the accommodation sector, stating that Istanbul is the most affordable metropolis in the world for accommodation.
